Hardware / Firmware Engineer

FULL-TIME / ON-SITE

SNIDO is a young technology company that designs and develops products for fire detection and alarm systems. We have a vision to move forward in the Life Safety sector and to include smart home connectivity in our products.

We are seeking an Engineer to join our product development team based in Faro, Portugal.

 

Functions:

  • Firmware development and maintenance for embedded systems
  • Hardware development and maintenance

Requirements:

Fluent in English and Portuguese

Residence in Portugal - MANDATORY

On site

 

Hardware:

  • Design/ modification of product pcb
  • Prototyping
  • Populating PCB – SMD / manual
  • Testing / troubleshooting       

Firmware:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in C Language
  • Experience in firmware development and debugging for embedded systems
  • Experience in embedded systems
  • Experience in embedded system protocols (UART/SPI/I2C...)
  • Minimum 3 years knowledge in electronics

Preferred:

  • Knowledge in C++
  • Knowledge in Python
  • Knowledge of hardware design in eCAD - Altium 
  • Hands on capability to solder/desolder components
  • Degree Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Knowledge of version control systems (SVN, GIT)
